About While She Sleeps & Cancer Bats
With what is possibly the greatest co-headline tour to be announced this year - the mighty While She Sleeps and Canada’s finest, Cancer Bats will be destroying venues across the UK in April 2015. Not only are the bands announcing this awesome tour but both are releasing new albums in March 2015.
After bursting back on the scene with a killer set at Download’s packed main stage which culminated in frontman Loz Taylor clambering to the top of the sound tower, Sheffield metallic hardcore heroes WHILE SHE SLEEPS will release their eagerly anticipated second album ’Brainwashed’ on March 23rd on Search and Destroy / Sony Music.
Perfectly poised to enable their cult success to power into mainstream consciousness, ‘Brainwashed’ was recorded by Carl Bown (Trivium), mixed by Colin Richardson (Bullet For My Valentine, As I Lie Dying) and mastered by Grammy Award winner Ted Jensen. In addition to the regular 12-track edition of the album, ‘Brainwashed’ will also be available as a deluxe edition with three additional tracks, on vinyl and as a special box set edition.
BMG Rights are thrilled to announce the addition of multiple-JUNO nominated hardcore-punk-metal outfit Cancer Bats to their roster. The beloved Toronto-based band will release their highly anticipated fifth studio LP titled Searching for Zero on March 9th, 2015 on their own imprint, Noise Church Records. Fans who pre-order the album will receive an instant grat of the lead single “Arsenic In The Year Of The Snake”, which premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter. The iTunes version of the album will also include an exclusive track titled “Rust and Bone”.
Produced by legendary multi-platinum producer Ross Robinson (At The Drive-In, Slipknot, The Cure, Sepultura, glassjaw) “Searching For Zero” is simultaneously the most melodic, yet menacing Cancer Bats release. The record incorporates the crude hardcore punk of their 2006 debut, Birthing The Giant and more metal leanings of 2008’s Hail Destroyer, while pushing the heavy hybrid sounds of 2010’s Mayors Bears Scraps and Bones and 2012’s darker Dead Set On Living to a new plateau. The choruses are hookier, the screams more savage, the riffs more vicious, the songs more powerful.
While She Sleeps and Cancer Bats will play The Ritz in Manchester and The Forum in London as part of their April 2015 co-headline UK tour.
