About Robinson

At just 21, Nelson born Anna Robinson has been making original music since her teens. A restless creative, she writes and sings to express feelings, experiences, and ideas that can't be easily articulated in everyday conversation.

Since 2015, Robinson has spent time song writing and recording in studios around the world. From her home in New Zealand, to Australia, the UK, and the US she has joined respected producers and songwriters alike to create what we now know as her signature sound. Amongst others, highlights include Fred Gibson (Ellie Goulding), Daniel Ledinsky, and Adam Argyle (James Bay, Ella Henderson).

Once exposed to the international music scene, as expected, Robinson’s aptitude for songwriting and hunger for success only amplified. Producing her best work yet.

First single, 'Don't You Forget About Me', written and produced with Daniel Ledinsky (Tove Lo, Zara Larsson) and David Sandström (of Refused), arrived as the final act in a foggy, jetlagged week of intensive song writing and production in Los Angeles in 2016. Born out of an easy and free-flowing conversation between the 3, 'Don't You Forget About Me' exposes Robinson's ability to take classic rock and folk song writing from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, and Jeff Buckley and mold it into after-midnight electronic pop that ripples with sentiment and reflection.

This lead into the hauntingly beautiful ‘Crave You’ in December 2017, her most successful track to date. Having reached over 1 Million streams on Spotify in the first 4 weeks of release, it’s clear the interest in the young New Zealander continues to grow both at home and internationally.

In 2018 Robinson is gearing up for this to be her biggest year yet, with her next release bringing along a host of musical heavyweights behind it. Fellow New Zealanders Joel Little (Khalid, Lorde) and Sam De Jong (30 Seconds to Mars, Noah Kahan) co-produced ‘Nothing To Regret’ whilst Allie Crystal and Larzz Principato (Dua Lipa, Halsey) are credited as cowrites.

She's put her ten thousand hours in and, as her music suggests, is more than ready to share her considerable talents with the world.
