Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hahaha….
Following on from his leadership of punk incendiaries Sex Pistols, John Lydon ripped up the rule book once again and created Public Image Ltd - a communications company that has absolutely nothing to do with rock and roll.
Creating videos, movies, film scores, records, and occasionally performing live shows. Their determination to subvert can be heard in the burring of genres encompassing dub, reggae, new wave, funk, and art rock – all lazily wrapped up and labelled by crap journalists as post punk.
Including the formation Lydon, company members also include Bruce Smith (drums), Lu Edmonds (guitar, keyboards) and Scott Firth (bass, keyboards).
Their records include riotous debut album Public Image: First Issue (1978), the seminal Metal Box (1979), The Flowers of Romance (1981) and What the World Needs Now... (2015).
