More than 30 years after Frankie Goes To Hollywood released their famous single ‘Relax', their former singer plays London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire this June!
Holly Johnson has announced that he is to embark on a UK tour.
The October tour will mark 30 years since his former band Frankie Goes to Hollywood released their triple platinum debut album Welcome To The Pleasuredome. The album followed the release of controversial single 'Relax' and 'Two Tribes'.
Johnson left the band in 1987 and went on to release three solo albums.
Speaking of his tour, Johnson said: "Since 2011 I have been performing at one or two festivals each summer here in the UK. I realised how enjoyable it is to sing the songs that I have written, and look forward to performing material from my new album.
"This will be my first solo tour since the final Frankie Goes To Hollywood shows in 1987. I'm looking forward to singing some of those songs again, as well as songs from my solo albums Blast, Dreams That Money Can't Buy and Soulstream."
He added: "I'm really excited to be able to play songs written throughout my career, which spans more years than I care to mention. Being able to tour as a solo artist in the 21st century with a back catalogue and new material is a very privileged position to be in."
