About Crosby, Stills & Nash

The musical partnership of David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash, and on occasion Neil Young, was one of the most successful touring and recording acts of the late '60s, '70s, and early '80s. Today this iconic group are still ‘holding back the years’ with a new selection of Crosby, Stills and Nash tour dates, kicking off with a selection of UK dates in September. Their latest European tour starts on the 13th September at the Eventim Apollo in London, and includes dates in Glasgow on the 15th, Birmingham on the 18th, Brighton on the 19th, Manchester on the 21st and Cardiff on the 22nd. At Gigantic, we’re lucky enough to have Crosby, Stills and Nash concert tickets available right now, but you’ll need to move quickly as these are bound to be in high demand.

Crosby, Stills and Nash aren’t merely one of the longest serving rock acts currently touring today " they’re also without doubt one of the most influential. They were contemporaries of such seminal musicians as Bob Dylan, and became the musical and political standard bearers for the Woodstock generation. CSN&Y have influenced other remarkable musicians too, including Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, and The Eagles, and their stamp on the development of modern music since the late 1960s is unquestioned.

Fusing folk, country, and the politically inspired movement of the ‘60s and ‘70s, CSN&Y were the voice of the counterculture. And there’s no sign that they’re mellowing in their golden years. Their most recent outing, ‘Almost Gone (The Ballad Of Bradley Manning)’, is a no-holds-barred commentary on the pre-trial incarceration of Bradley/Chelsea Manning, the US soldier on trial for treason after passing confidential documents to the Wikileaks site. So it seems that CSN (as they are now) are still as politically active as they were during the height of the Vietnam war in the 1970s.

You cannot really understand CSN without knowing a little of their political background, but aside from that they also have the skills to craft memorable, vivid music that is now speaking to a new generation of fans. Their most recent album, the unsurprisingly titled ‘CSN 2012’ released in…you guessed it…2012, demonstrates that the band are still capable of live gigs full of an urgent and passionate energy. The live album is a good indicator of what anyone with Crosby Stills and Nash tickets should expect, namely their classic standards with the occasional cover such as Bob Dylan's “Girl from the North Country”, all finished off with some newer tunes.
